Days passed beautifully. Shelly was in the happiest phase of her life. She had the best gift one can have –a true friend. Together they enjoyed every little activity- from taking the classes to bunking the classes. They would eat, fight,laugh,and go out together.

It was December; Shelly noticed some mysterious gossips taking place in the friends group. They would often shut their chats once shelly joins the group. Perhaps they were all persuading laxman to propose shelly. Shelly felt so happy to think about this. She wanted him to propose her. Though she had denied his proposal on an earlier occasion. But now that she had spent 5months with him. She quite knew him well. However the thought of her parents view to such relations made her wonder what would she reply to laxman.so at times she just wished these things not happen. She was still unsure about her decisions. She loved him but never wanted to hurt her parents as well. In these dilemmas time kept passing. Finally came the day when laxman collected all his courage to propose shelly. It was the 17^th of December. They were studying in the library.laxman was all flirting with her since the morning. He kept saying “tiamo”in her ears. This was perhaps an Italian or French word which meant “I love you”. When shelly would stare at him he would say “sorry yar, just joking”. Shelly would feel even more disgusting. “What does this guy want? Cant he even propose seriously?” Thought she. Finally she said “what’s wrong cant you be serious?”... “Yes I am serious  ...I love you shelly” said laxman. “I really love you” he repeated. Shelly felt so shy this time .she could not look into his eyes at all. What should she say? She kept mute for a few minutes. At this moment what came into her brain was the spark that was their on laxman’s face. How could she say no to him? How could she break his hurt? And she answered to him “I like you too”.laxman took her hands into his and said “I would be always there for you”. “Now you are mine don’t worry about anything”.

So finally the love between them started. However shelly at times would feel if she was doing wrong with her parents but laxman would assure her that she is a very good daughter and her parents would never feel let down because of her…..?

Shelly was just lost into her beautiful memories when Anjali came to call her.

“Come shelly the class has begun” said anjali.

“Oh ya come let’s go” said shelly. Half heartedly she went to the class with no moods to study. She was so lost in the past.

As mentioned earlier she had completed graduation and was now pursuing a one year professional course from her dream college.

Shelly looked at the board. It read “changes”.

“Yes class today we will discuss about changes” said the lecturer. “Changes are not sudden they are a result of certain causes”. “Changes are inevitable, but why do they happen at all?” Asked the lecturer.

The word CHANGES itself took shelly back into her memories.the changes, the sudden changes that took place in her own relationship with laxman.How things changed??

It was the beginning of second year. The first year went well in love. But the second year had been a terrific experience. Shelly and laxman started having fights at every little topic.laxman started disliking her habits, her likes and particularly her dressing. He fought with her when she came late. He fought to her when she wore jeans; he fought to her when she spoke to any guy and so on. Shelly often felt that laxman now disliked everything about her. Though they loved each other still. But as for laxman the love had become a prized possession he felt very possessive about her and simply could not tolerate anybody looking at her. Shelly knew about his love and so just to end the fights she would keep on compromising with the situations. She didn’t know at that time that these compromises would later hurt her a lot. She changed a lot of her ways. But laxman’s expectations would not come to any end. He would get annoyed at small little things. Shelly often fought with him but the ends always resulted in her getting changed. Days passed quarrelling and weeping. Their relationship which started with a lovely relationship started getting sour. Though at the end of the day the matters would be resolve with either of them admitting their mistakes but little did they know that a cavity was being created in their relationship? It doesn’t however mean that laxman didn’t care about her. He loved her the same .infact more than before but that possessiveness was resulting into problems. They loved each other so much that they never wanted to lose each other. Even in those days they would often cry because of the shine that their love was losing.

Sometimes shelly could not take it any more and she said she wanted to break but laxman promised to keep her happy. But in a few days things would bitter up again. All this was affecting their studies. They got little time to study. They had to miss lectures because of their problems. Things became worse with time. And the second year ended. They managed to pass with great efforts towards the end...

Now they were in their final year with new ray of hope……………………

shelly ws happy these days..though she ws busier than before bt  for her wat matters ws happiness rather than schedules..her college ws going well.she had good frends.she hd managed to clear the entrance for her dream college..the no.1 college for the course she was pursuing..but above all she was happy coz her boy friend had been more than loving for the past few months..he was cool headed now amazingly different from his past behaviour..he ws completely changed now..yes i am talking about Laxman..shelly fell in love with laxman in her first year ..they were in the same college in the same class n moreover they were practical partners..they became good friends jus in a few days..shelly liked to be with this guy..she liked his humour n most importantly his nature..how he made things simpler for shelly was surprising ..with him life seemed easy,fun n beautiful..they became such close friends that they forgot to make other friends..they loved being with each other..no matter what others thought bout them ..shelly's eyes would always search for laxman in his absence..but she felt that laxman was a very social person..he interacted with almost everyone in the class..she often thought "he is a friend to all ,i should not take him too seriously"..she didnt expect to go anyfurther in this relationship..but as is known "destiny is not a matter of chance its a matter of choice"..deep in her heart she started feeling for him..

laxman was not good looking..he was not the kind that one would get at the first sight..but shelly loved his caring n easy going nature..she on the other side was above the average looking girls..having sharp features that could make someone lose his heart easily..she had decided not to be engaged in any relationship coz she never wanted to hurt her parents in future..so decided to continue her true friendship with laxman without expecting any kind of future relations..he ws her best friend n she was proud to have him..only 20 days of her friendship had past n they knew each other as if since ages..

today there was a function at her college..she ws hapy..n wore a trendy dress expecting sum pretty good compliments fron laxman..she got quite late in reaching the college..her eyes wr searching for him.."where could he be"

she sat in the corridor..she saw him finally in the auditorium ..but who is dis grl with him..he ws all laughing with this grl..she felt bad very bad this time..she thought he is only her friend bt den y is he with somebody else??she came out n forced her friends to go back to home..sheely's friend said they had to wait for som1..so shelly sat on the corridor..laxman ws standing at a distance with his friends..shelly ignored him completely..she tried hard to supress her feelings bt she cud nt..she put her hands on her eyes..leaned her head downwards n cried silently..she wished she cud avoid dis..bt she cud nt..laxman came at once to console her..he kept askng her yy she ws crying bt she said nothing..how cud she say dat she cried coz she cud nt c her best friend talking to sum grl..wat cud b the logis behind dis possessiveness

..bt laxman wud keep asking ..he wud nt let her go ..untill she said"i misd uu""i cud nt see u talking to dat grl""

laxman smiled he got it knw ..he realised that shelly loved him too..he said "yar y dont u understand that i lik u as well,,is it fine if i say that i love uu" 

"no" said shelly"we r friends ,good friends dats it n m nt dat kinda grl"

aftr dis day they got evn closer to each other..they loved each other in heart but never expressed the feelings..all they cud say bout their togetherness ws "we r friends dats it"
